"Chicken McNuggets"

This story from alert reader Griff S. -

While perusing the menu at a local McDonald's restaurant, I felt the unmistakable craving for a few of their tasty Chicken McNuggets. Offered in 6-, 9-, and 12-piece sizes, I decided to get a "half-dozen" nuggets to go with my burger. Upon hearing my order, the shiny face behind the counter smiled and apologized, stating that they don't offer nuggets in a half-dozen
size.

"You don't?," I asked.

"No, sir," replied the little cherub, pointing to the menu board above. "We only have six, nine, or twelve piece boxes."

Shaking my head in amazement, I stammered: "Let me get this straight. I can order a box of six nuggets, but I can't order a box with a half-dozen nuggets?"

"That's right, sir."

So, I ordered six McNuggets. Somehow, I feel I've been cheated.
